Pomfret Integrated Preschool Program Pomfret Community School offers an integrated preschool program. In accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, children at the age of 3 may be eligible to receive special education services. If you think your child may be eligible for these services you should contact Erica Caouette, Director of Special Education, at 860-928-2718 ext. 308. Students who receive special education attend preschool with same age peers to develop skills and receive supports associated with their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). These preschool slots are available to 3 and 4 years old's as part of their specialized services and in alignment with the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

Pomfret Community School’s integrated preschool program has typically developing children who serve as peer models for student who require Special Education. These slots are available for Pomfret residents with four years old's through a lottery and are a tuition based slot. The tuition is $235.00 a month for a slot in the program or a fee on a sliding scale for those families who qualify. There are available slots in a half day morning session or a half day afternoon session. Our lottery is held in late March, if families are interested in having their child participate in the lottery for a slot in the preschool program, they should reach out to Deb Morisette, Special Ed. Administrative Assistant, for additional information. morrisette.d@pomfretcommunityschool.org

Families are notified by mid-April, if their child has been selected for a slot in the preschool program for the following year. The preschool program does not currently offer open enrollment throughout the year.
